Riders on Own Bikes

No need to pre-book at Thundercross when you are riding your own bike. Just sign-in at The Wool Shed, including spectators.

Female youth on own bikes are free of charge to ride at Thundercross.
James' daughter used to race cross-country and MotoX when there were not many females in the sport. In order to encourage more girls to participate James decided not to charge them for riding at Thundercross.

As of January 2024, adult female riders over 16 years old will be charged the male youth rate.

*Quads are welcome on the Learners' and the B Track. You are to follow your quads manufacturer's guidelines when riding at the Park. No children allowed on adult size quads. Single riders only; no doubling up.

**UTVs are welcome at Thundercross.  Drivers of UTVs must be over 16 and hold a current, restricted or full NZ driving licence and 5-point harness. All drivers and passengers are required to wear full face helmet.

If you'd like tuition, James is one of New Zealand's most experienced dirt bike coaches; you will be in good hands.  No motorcycle experience or motorcycle licence required.  Our experienced Thundercross team will look after you.
