Thundercross welcomes riders on their own dirt bikes, quads & UTVs, where adventures continue since 1999!
Your wheels + our tracks = no prebooking needed


Before hitting the dirt, all riders and spectators including children must sign-in and watch our induction video at The Wool Shed.
To ride our tracks you MUST HAVE
dirt bike boots, chest protector, & dirt bike helmet.
If you'd like tuition, you will be in good hands with one of our coaches who all have over 25 years experience riding dirt bikes. No motorcycle experience or motorcycle licence required.
Our experienced Thundercross team will look after you.
What you need when riding at Thundercross
Minimum Protective Gear:
Dirt bike boots
Dirt bike helmet
Chest protector
No alternatives. Not negotiable. No gear = no ride.
These are required at all times when you are riding a bike around the Park
We have gear available to hire, in all sizes for children and adults
Remember to bring:
Water, drinks, energy snacks & lunch
A gazebo or brolly for shade (there are no trees for shade on the Learners' Track)
Camping chairs
The dog (on a lead and under control)
Friends and family
Relax, kick back and make a day of it!

Riders on
Own Bike
Adult (over 16) $50
Adventure Bike $50
Adult Quad $70
Quads are welcome on the Learners' and B Track. Riders are required follow manufacturer's guidelines when riding at the Park. No children allowed on adult size quads. Single riders only; no doubling up.
UTV $100 per vehicle
UTVs are welcome at Thundercross. Drivers of UTVs must be over 16 and hold a current, restricted or full NZ driving licence, 4-point harness required. All drivers and passengers are required to wear full face helmet.
Youth (under 15) $25
Child (under 5) $10
Youth Quad $40
Quads are welcome on the Learners' and B Track. Riders are required follow manufacturer's guidelines when riding at the Park. No children allowed on adult size quads. Single riders only; no doubling up.
Family Pass $120
2x Adults and 2x Youth U15 (plus 1x child U5)
We're here to help
We offer a variety of help, such as:
Bike wash facilities for a fee of $20 per bike
Gear hire
Advice on bikes and their suitability for the rider needing the bike
We can also advise on what gear is suitable and the best brands to buy
Camping and home stay accommodation can be arranged
With our 30 years of experience in dirt bike and trail riding, we are equipped to help you in any way you need
Amenities
Parking: We have a main car park and a learners' car park. Only those learning or supporting a learner may park in the learners' paddock
Wool Shed Sign-In Centre: When you arrive at the Park, all visitors (riders and spectators) must sign-in at the Wool Shed, please. Non-riders are welcome to hang out in the Wool Shed and enjoy its facilities
Toilets: There is a toilet block in the main car park and at the Wool Shed
Refreshments: You are welcome to bring your own picnic to enjoy around the Park. (No alcohol to be consumed whilst riding and please ensure you have a sober driver)
Picnics: We have picnic tables available for your use in the car park areas or you are welcome to bring your own comfy chairs, gazebo and set up camp for the day in one of our car park areas
Air Compressor: Our air compressor is available for you to use
No proper kit = no ride. Bring your own or hire ours @ $10 per item. All bikes and protective gear are commercially washed after each hire
