dirt bike lessons
Always wanted to learn to ride a dirt bike but never knew where to start?
Whether you're a novice, intermediate or have never sat on a dirt bike before, James is available for
group or individual dirt bike lessons. This is a great option for Corporate Events, Team Building, Christmas Functions, Family Fun, Hen's Parties and Stag Do's, as well as simply ticking it off the bucket list.
No motorcycle licence or experience necessary
James and his family have competed for many years across a range of classes including Veterans' Motocross, National Cross Country Series, Over 45 Cross Country, National Enduro Series, Tarawera 100 and Junior Nationals. They have an extensive collection of medals and trophies between them. You know you'll be in safe and competent hands.
All tuition is taken at your own pace, without pressure.
For total novices, in the interests of (a) safety (b) technique and (c) personal enjoyment and comfort, we do recommend two hours of coaching:
- 1st hour: This will cover basic bike handling including starting, stopping, braking and changing gear. You will have plenty of time to practice on the Learners’ Track afterwards.
- 2nd hour: After lunch we will progress to cornering and standing up. Following this lesson, the remainder of the day is yours to practice your new skills and enjoy the tracks.
Advanced Lessons: can be stylised to suit your needs. Just let us know what you have in mind. Bring your own bike or hire one of ours.
We also hire dirt bikes with all the protective gear so you have everything you need to learn safely & have a ton of fun.

2nd Hand Kit
In the interests of helping riders get their own gear, we are running a sale facility where by riders can bring their old gear in clean, good condition to us marked with the price and your phone number. We will then sell on your behalf.
Twice a year, at the beginning and end of the season, we will run a sausage sizzle and a bring/buy/swap day for all riders – bring your old kit and trade with other riders.
