Dirt Bike Lessons
Always wanted to learn to ride a dirt bike but never knew where to start?
Want your teenager to learn how to handle a motorbike without the added distractions of road signs, road code and heavy traffic?
This is a great option for Corporate Events, Team Building, Christmas Functions, Family Fun, Hens Parties and Stag Dos, as well as simply ticking it off the bucket list.
Whether you're a novice, intermediate or have never sat on a dirt bike before, we have experienced coaches, who are also champion riders, available for group or individual dirt bike lessons.
No motorcycle licence or experience necessary
All tuition is taken at your own pace, without pressure.
We also hire dirt bikes with all the protective gear so you have everything you need to learn safely & have a ton of fun. (All bikes and protective gear are commercially washed after each hire)
For total novices, in the interests of (a) safety (b) technique and (c) personal enjoyment and comfort, we do recommend two hours of coaching:
- 1st hour: This will cover basic bike handling including starting, stopping, braking and changing gear. You will have plenty of time to practice on the Learners’ Track afterwards.
- 2nd hour: After lunch we will progress to cornering and standing up. Following this lesson, the remainder of the day is yours to practice your new skills and enjoy the tracks.

Meet the Team
James took up competitive riding in his 40s, as a ‘track Dad’ and now has a jam-packed trophy cabinet to show for his success. He continues to compete on a regular basis. James’ experience, empathy and gentle manner make him an excellent coach for riders of all ages and skill levels.
James’ daughter Danie has been riding since she was a toddler. On the competition circuit as a teenager, she was one of the few girls on the tracks but she held her own and collected a swag of trophies along the way. Danie now has a young family and helps out with tuition, mainly female groups, when she can.
James’ son, Nik, wanted to ride before he could walk. He loves all things with wheels and engines; particularly if they can go fast and/or get air! For many years he was a coach at Camp Woodward in the USA, teaching extreme sports to teenagers. Nik is an experienced and successful rider who can gently help a learner conquer their fears or take a more experienced rider through their paces cross-country.
Mandy, James’ partner, has only been riding since they met in 2015. At the age of 52, she had never been near a motorbike before and enthusiastically took up dirt biking under the Fowlie family’s careful tuition. She has made many great friends through the sport and is happy to help out with learner riders, for whom she feels great empathy. She also takes care of rider meet/greet and will help you out with any problem.
